Weekend Pics

This weekend turned out to be a fun and busy one. It started out with a tough day on Friday as it would have been my dad’s 60th birthday. He passed away in May 2006, and we wanted to do something to celebrate him even though he is no longer with us. We ended up just going to dinner which was perfect. It was fun and low key. After an emotional day we were ready for a weekend full of fun!

Saturday we went to the Remember the 10 run in Stillwater. This race is near and dear to our hearts, as we were both at OSU at the time of the plane crash. It’s a great way to celebrate the memory of each person, as well as return to Stillwater and doing something fun and active. Jeremy ran the 10k and Rebekah, Kerrie, Tess & I did the 1 mile fun run. Rebekah ran/walked the WHOLE TIME!! I was so impressed. We did come in last place because Rebekah was very easily distracted, but we had a great time. Of course we had to follow the race with a trip to Joe’s.

Um, really Tess? Could you BE ANY CUTER??

Rebekah really wanted to be in the Thompson Family Pic outside Joe’s

So proud of my hubby!

After Rebekah took a 3 1/2 hour nap that day, Gma came over to babysit while Jeremy took me to see Rent at the Hard Rock in Tulsa. This is my all time favorite play and I know every word to every song. It was an amazing performance and we had a great time doing some gambling before hand and just hanging out the two of us.

Today we went to a 101 class at a church we are very interested in. It’s a completely different denomination than either of us were raised in so we think it’s important to learn as much as possible before joining so we know it’s the right fit. And, this is working on one of my 40 by 40 goals – yay!

Finally, we went to our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. Rebekah had no clue what was going on, so it worked out well that we missed the actual egg hunt. But it was a beautiful day and a great way to enjoy some good outside time!

So, that’s our weekend. Hope you had a great weekend as well!
